Whether you're a San Diego native or a tourist in town on vacation, you've got to take a ride on the SEAL at least once. This amphibious vehicle transports riders on a land to sea tour. It begins by boarding the SEAL at Seaport Village or the Star of India at the Maritime Museum in downtown San Diego. The 90-minute tour is narrated, so you'll learn lots of interesting facts about the places you pass by. The most exciting part of the tour is driving right into the water on the Shelter Island boat launch ramp. Then the SEAL floats into the San Diego harbor and becomes a boat with wheels. One of the highlights on the water is passing close by the sea lions and military training area.
Have you ever taken a ride on the San Diego SEAL? Or have you ever riden on another amphibious land to sea vechicle in a different part of the world?

San Diego is only a few hours from L.A. so I know I have to make the trip now just to investigate a ride on the Seal. Thanks for a delightful post. Very intriguing.
Cheers from a fellow A to Z Challenger.
