D is for Del Mar's Seagrove Park
Del Mar might be most famous for the racetrack and fairgrounds, but a Del Mar gem on the coast is Seagrove Park. It's completely free (unless you're renting the lawn for your wedding). Then it's $1,500 per day and may be booked up to 2 years in advance!
If you're in the area, grab a blanket and a picnic lunch and settle into a spot on the grass overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You might see surfers and dolphins in the water, and a train chugging by on the tracks below. Behind you on the lawn, there might be a wedding, dogs out for a walk or people doing yoga. It's a beautiful place!
Have you ever been to Seagrove Park? Do you have a favorite picnic spot in your town?

The beach area around there is beautiful. Never been to Seagrove Park yet, but now its a must. Thanks!
One of my favorites -- besides La Jolla, of course.
KT Did - Hope you like it! Sometimes the hardest part is finding free parking. Usually there are spots on the side streets closes by. With a motorcycle, it should be even easier to find a space.
Milo - LJ Shores is a classic beach. Mos def!
