This week the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships are taking place in Greensboro, North Carolina. My pick for Ladies Champion is Alissa Czisny and for Men’s Champion it’s Ryan Bradley. Both of them missed making the Olympic team last year, but they’ve continued skating. I see them as inspiring examples of perseverance after a season of disappointment. This year I would love to see them each win and achieve some sort of redemption. Alissa already won the Grand Prix Final in December. Ryan has been touring and performing in skating shows on tv. He is skating so well that he even included a quad in his exhibition performances. Thrilled he is competing at Nationals one more time and hope he is able to crown his years of skating with a gold medal in 2011!
